We are pleased to offer you a new learning opportunity for 10th graders and above, in collaboration with the Afghanistan Desk at the Centre for the Study of Global Human Movement / Refugee Hub, University of Cambridge. 

If you meet the requirements to enroll, the Afghanistan Desk at the University of Cambridge will provide you with access to their English classes. 

Minimum required level: B1, as the courses are taught exclusively in English. A placement test may be conducted in advance to assess your level. 

Students who complete a Foundations Program course will receive certificates of participation, and letters of recommendation can be provided upon request.

Coursera provides access to online courses and professional certificates from leading universities and organizations worldwide, allowing you to develop academic, professional, and technical skills at their own pace. 

The classes listed below are only examples from a broader catalog of courses that you can take. You can find all the information on the Coursera website.

Students who successfully complete their courses will receive a Coursera Certificate of Completion. Some programs also offer Professional Certificates recognized by employers and institutions worldwide.

My hope for the respected students of Begum Academy is that they follow their lessons on time and take advantage of this unlimited opportunity. 

At the moment, I really enjoy learning English because it is an international language, and through it, we can understand what people around the world are saying. I am very thankful to the world for giving us this opportunity to study from home and in such circumstances, so that we have not been deprived of education. 

My final goal is to successfully complete Grade 12 with Begum Academy, receive my certificate, and have the opportunity to go to university.

I am currently studying two different fields at the same time. I study one for my family and the other for myself, because the dreams and aspirations I have are not the same as what my family wants for me. That is why I am working toward both. 

I truly believe that students should make the most of Begum Academy, because it has opened a door toward our dreams. It is like a window of hope for Afghan girls.
